DA3 Final AR Project Brainstorm Blog

So obviously I took this course last semester and really enjoyed being able to have so much freedom on this project. I did, however, realize that my original idea would no longer work because I didn't have a full length mannequin. My original work that I thought would be interesting is a comparison between the women's view of women's bodies versus a mans view of a woman's body, or at least what I think of each view. I tried looking for a mannequin but they are a lot harder to find than I thought prior. Even though we had a few weeks to do this project, I couldn't decide what I wanted to do for the longest time and got somewhat frustrated with myself because I wanted it to mean SOMETHING. I was mindlessly walking throughout my house and totally forgot about an artwork I did last year where I weaved/sewed an exploding heart into a canvas. I absolutely love this piece I did and realized I could make such a cool AR experience from it. Once I brought it into class and tried it for the first time, I knew this could be so special because it combines work that I did a year ago and then now and the progress I've seen from myself.
