Independent Study Project 1 Brainstorm Blog

After being a part of DA2&3, I am pretty well versed in project 1 and it's actually my favorite out of them all because 1. I have so much fun and 2. because you can do so much while manipulating the pictures. So, I've actually been finding it quite difficult to get inspiration while at home as my mental space has improved significantly. As I've said before, I find a lot of inspiration when I'm going through personal struggles as art is a release for me but since being home and surrounded by a support system, I just am having a difficult time producing deep and insightful art that means a lot to me. So, since I'm in a better place, I think it would just be fun to produce a project that is lighthearted and surrounding things that I respect and love. I had been thinking of a lot of different ideas like asking AI to produce images of old movies that I used to love during my childhood in "its own mind" and turn it into a more 21st-century production. Ultimately, I don't think that I'm going to go through with this idea, instead, I'm going to ask AI to produce a picture of some of my favorite artists as presidents in their presidential picture in the White House. I think it would be fun to see a side of celebrities that we've never seen before other than... Donald Trump (if you would even call him a celebrity... or a president). I think I'll likely be using Midjourney for this project even though I will have to pay for a membership for a little bit just because the graphics are so much better and the technology is more advanced. Overall, really pumped for this project and excited to glitch!
